Other Backblaze employees were also asked to leave. In late November, Brian was banned from buying drives on Costco’s online store, and Billy was banned from purchasing them at any Costco in the Bay Area. To survive this crisis without raising prices.Backblaze deployed every last employee, as well as friends and family, to acquire drives in what became known internally as “drive farming”. by mid-October 2011, violent floods in Thailand had crippled the factories that helped produce nearly half of the world’s hard drives. the company retains some secret sauce - its techniques for de-duplication, encryption, and managing a data centre full of Pods.īackblaze's Andrew Klein picks up the story: The entire hardware design is open source. When the phone box is whirling around and around in the space time continuum we sometimes put our hands in the air and pretend we’re riding the imaginary roller coaster back in time before landing hundreds of years in the past and listen to who they are and all the work they’ve done. My students get a kick out of thinking we go back in time. All of this is supposed to happen in middle school, so what do I do when a student comes up and asks me who these people are? I use it as a teachable moment and we travel back in time as a class to go visit these people. ![]() The Phone Box– Ever want to travel back in time? I do! The phonebox will take you back in time to visit 4 famous composers Vivaldi, Cristofori, Beethoven, and Debussy listening to their works, learning about their life, and everything else about them. My music curriculum is slightly abnormal, I’m not suppose to teach my elementary students composers. The music room is customizable, a place to dress your avatar, watch Quaver videos, and play arcade games! I might play a video during a lesson as a teaching tool but the best part about this space? It’s a carrot to dangle in front of my students for when they’re finished with everything else on their list. You can have a chat with your students as you look at the map about when the venue came to be, whether it is still there, and maybe some famous musical figures that played there or that are involved in the genre and could have played there. Not only does this tie in with geography but it also ties in with history. The map will show your students exactly where the venue is located so they can see for themselves how close or far away it is from them. A lot of my students enjoy the time to just sit back, relax, play a game and listen to the music at that venue.ģ. I tend to let my students do these after finishing a webquest on the site or after they have earned a diploma in a challenge. Games – Each venue has a puzzle and matching game to go with them .These are more fun for the students than educational. We have what I have dubbed “The Diploma Challenge!” Where students compete individually for diplomas, if they earn one then their name goes on my hall of fame (papers taped to a table that have the name of each venue on it where they can write their name and class for all to see)Ģ. Get them all right and you not only earn a diploma for that venue but also an accessory for your avatar. I like to use this feature with my students before vacations as a way to relax yet still learn. At the end of each of these books is a set of questions. This two-channel duo recaps every NFL game in 30 minutes or less, including games not available on NFL Sunday Ticket because they were televised locally or blacked out. That channel airs at the same time on Dish Network, various cable systems, and also on Verizon Wireless smartphones. Note: This is not to be confused with the Scott Hanson-hosted NFL RedZone, which is produced separately by NFL Network. īeginning in the 2007 season, this channel was provided in HD. Starting in 2008, it added a high-definition feed, and in 2011, it added larger cells when four or fewer games are being played. It just depends on your build and playstyle for which you prefer. Overall, neither is truely superior, they both have their uses. The Estoc has a better range than the Espada Ropera, especially with it’s R2, (Which also gives its moveset more diversity) but in turn, it weighs more, and has a lower counter strength. My opinion: The Estoc is a bit more suited on a strength or quality build, due to its B scaling in str, whereas the Espada Ropera having an A in dex makes it better on a dexterity character. Notes: Same moveset as standard rapier, higher scaling in dex. Notes: R2 when onehanded replaced with a horizontal slash into a stab, rather than standard rapier parry. Scaling at max upgrade: B in str, D in dex Personally, i prefer the moveset of the blacksteel, since the r2s can be aimed pretty wall after pressing the button, and the delay is pretty good for baiting people in to the swing. The blacksteel’s twohanded r2 is an even slower slash from the sheath into another stab. The uchi’s twohanded r2 is a right to left slash, into a slash similar to the blacksteel’s onehanded r2. The blacksteel’s 1h r2 is a slow horizontal slash where the weapon is drawn from the sheath, into a stab. The uchi’s 1h r2 is a stab followed by a slash, much like the 2nd r1 of the uchi. The only difference in their moveset is their r2s. The only really noteable difference between the two besides the moveset is their weight, with the blacksteel weighing 3 units more than the uchi. On my 40/40 build, the uchi had an AR that was only higher by 3 points, and if dex is levelled beyond 40, the blacksteel will most likely surpass it eventually, but not by very much. My opinion: Much like iaito vs uchigatana in dark souls 1, it comes down to what moveset you prefer. ![]() Scaling at max upgrade: E in str, A in dex Notes: has a cooler looking model that was temporarily available from the majula chest The main deciding factor between them is if you want to hit slightly higher, or SPIN AND FLIP YOURSELF OFF OF CLIFFS. Overall, they’re both ridiculous masses of crushing weight. It consumes an incredible amount of stamina and has a very long recovery, so be careful using this one. ![]() It is a 4 hit spin, where you then jump and let the weapons weight carry you. The most hilarious / unique thing about the cheeto’s smelter hammer’s moveset is the twohanded parry. The twohanded r1 is a normal greathammer hit, but the followup is the two hit spin attack. The onehanded r1 is a slow right to left slash, like an ultragreatsword, but the followup is an overheat greathammer hit that can be steered very well. The r2s are overhead slams that have surprisingly long range, the running attacks are a running jump that stuns enemies as you jump, then crushes them with the sheer weight of the hammer, the rolling attacks actually hit twice, once infront of you and once behind you, and the r1s are also very unique. It has a completely unique greathammer moveset, and can be surprisingly unpredictable to fight. The smelter hammer, or as the community has named it, “The chicken drumstick” or “The cheeto” is one of the most interesting weapons to come out recently. It also has a more normal greathammer moveset, lower weight and requirements. It’s not much, but the giant warrior club will always have a 20 higher ar. They both have the same scaling, gaining +161 at 70 str, but the giant warrior club has a 20 higher base damage. I was as surprised as anyone when i found out this fact: The giant warrior club will always outdamage the smelter hammer. My opinion: Both incredibly hard hitting massive hammers, with one hitting slightly harder, and the other having a more unique moveset. has the best attack of all time in place of the twohanded parry 3/4/2023 0 Comments Top 10 hype pro caming moment![]() Others - such as the bitcoin blockchain - will still use proof-of-work systems after the Merge. This is good news for the applications that build their businesses on the blockchain, such as the NFT marketplace OpenSea, or decentralised crypto exchanges like Uniswap. Still, after years of talk, a successful Merge at least sets the scene for future innovation, particularly by allowing the Ethereum blockchain to scale and handle heavier workloads. They are incentivised to do so by rewards, including the chance to earn fresh ether.
